SIMORGH

Laleh Gallery, Workshop with Hannibal Alkhas, 2003 (1382 Sh)

In this show for the ‘Simorgh and Zall’ work, I had a white headscarf on. Zall was ostracized in his childhood because of his white hair. Likewise, women in Iranian society, for their gender.
The paintings are, from the left, Death of Sohrab, Siavash’s Crossing over Fire, Simorgh, and Blue Day. There is a cube on the ground, and a performance of ascension of Iraj using fog generator was also presented.
